After teaching Middle School and High School in the Sacramento area for 10 years, my husband and I returned to Butte County in 2014 to raise our family. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with schools in Butte County who are implementing thriving Career Technical Education programs.
I have been teaching Life and Physical Science at Chico Junior High School for 22 years. I am also a member of the exciting and innovative Spanish Immersion team, where we teach Science and Social Studies in Spanish to students in the Dual Immersion Program.
I'm Ms. Dalby, entering the 10th year of my science teaching career, and I am excited to work with the students at Oak Bridge! After finishing my degree at UC Davis in Biotechnology, I decided to attend CSU Chico to become a secondary science teacher.
I graduated from National University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology and a Masters of Arts degree in School Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. As a school counselor, one of my passions is to help students find the best school environment for them whether that environment is online, on campus or a combination of both.
In my 30+ year career teaching, I have taught most subjects and worked with students of all ages, pre-K through adult. I have worked in urban and rural schools and have spent the last 17 years working in Chico USD.
I’ve been in education for thirty years as a junior high and high school teacher, an administrator, a curriculum specialist, and a program specialist for career and technical education pathways in Butte and Glenn counties.
